Sheep in Grand Junction, CO

I was feeling very festive for the upcoming holiday, Valentine's Day, and I decided something in the urban landscape of Grand Junction, CO needed to feel my love. I chose a fantastic public round-about art sculpture by Jim Dolan. He sculpted 3 amazing sheep out of metal (very pokey by the way) so I decided to cover it in a big, pink, fluffy sweater (so it can stay warm in the cold weather).

Yarnbombing is a fantastic team of knit graffiti artists who are kick ass enough to be writing a book- Yarn Bombing: The Art of Knit Graffiti that is coming out in Fall 2009.

I had a wonderful striped large piece that I wanted to find a tree for, and I did in Chico, CA. This tree got Covered in Knit on October 18th. My parter in crime took pictures of me working this time:
